Marjorie Taylor Greene was caught on camera in her most recent awkward moment.
In a video shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday, January 23, we see the conservative Georgia representative approaching Donald Trump for a hug. However, the 77-year-old opted for a handshake instead.

Once Trump became aware of her actions, he seemed to reciprocate by reaching out and gently holding her shoulders, keeping a slight distance, and leaning in for a virtual hug.
“Please keep your distance,” remarked political analyst Ron Filipowski in the video. “He is reaching for a handshake, while she prefers a hug.”
Critics of Trump were quick to take to the comments section, mocking Greene for what they believed to be her excessive fixation on the controversial politician.
One user jokingly commented, “She wants the hug to make herself look important, but he just wasn’t that into her.” Another user added, “This is not the only example… I’m starting to get the impression that he actually doesn’t like her very much.”
A third person jokingly remarked that MTG would be extremely disappointed if she is not chosen as the Vice President.
The topic of the embattled ex-president having a bad odor was also raised by others. One person humorously commented that now the ex-president has a lingering scent that cannot be easily eliminated. They speculated that the ex-president might even perceive it as a pleasant fragrance.
One X user expressed their enthusiasm for MTG, saying, “I can’t get enough of the stank.” Another user playfully suggested that maybe she smells just as bad as he does.

Former Republican congressman Adam Kinzinger made a striking statement about Donald Trump’s distinct scent, describing it as a combination of armpits, ketchup, a butt, and makeup.
“Imagine blending all of that together and packaging it as a captivating fragrance,” he expressed with a hint of amusement. “That’s the essence of it. It’s fascinating how many people are only just discovering this now… It truly is a remarkable sight. If possible, remember to wear a mask.”
A TikToker has gone viral after claiming that Trump was once expelled from a Manhattan steakhouse in the 1980s because of complaints about his smell.
“I want to clarify that my comment about Trump wasn’t meant to make fun of him because of his age. It was actually made in 1983, so it’s not about him being elderly. Making fun of someone based on their age is not something we do on the left.”
“The tables next to him and behind him both voiced their complaints about the offensive smell. However, my father and I refrained from complaining about it,” they recalled. “Eventually, the odor became so unbearable that the restaurant staff had no choice but to ask him to leave. He complied quietly, passing right by us and leaving behind a lingering scent.”
