Multiple Men, Including a Correction Officer, Arrested in Alabama Trafficking Operation

Alabama authorities successfully executed a well-planned operation resulting in the arrest of 15 individuals. The charges against these individuals include electronic solicitation of a minor, attempted human trafficking, and traveling to meet a minor, as reported by WSFA.

On December 7, 2023, Leon Johnson, a 50-year-old man, engaged in inappropriate communication with a minor. As a result, he is currently in custody at the Montgomery County jail, with a bond set at $500,000.

Montgomery sex trafficking investigation nets 15 arrests

During a press conference on December 12, 2023, the Montgomery Police Department (MPD) informed the public that these individuals specifically targeted minors through social media, chat rooms, and other online platforms, as reported by Alabama’s WSFA.

Flanzy Harris, a correction officer at Kilby Correctional Center, was among the individuals who were arrested. The Montgomery Police Department has reported that at least five of the arrested individuals have already been released on bond.
