Aiexpress – Cameron Jayce Harris was apprehended by authorities after school administrators at Crofton High School alerted the police about a weapon found concealed in his backpack.
It was around 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24 when the call came in.
Police stated that Harris was taken to the office as part of an investigation into a potential incident on a school bus. Upon conducting a search of his backpack, administrators discovered the weapon along with five loose rounds of ammunition.
The School Resource Officer confiscated the firearm and ammunition, and the Anne Arundel County Police Department was notified of the occurrence.
Officials said there were no signs that the weapon had been shown before it was found. The Crofton resident was arrested without any trouble and has been charged accordingly.
