Detectives from the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) conducted surveillance of a known narcotics location on Tuesday night, as per CSPD.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), the vehicle involved in the incident initially attempted to evade a traffic stop by rapidly accelerating. However, it was eventually discovered abandoned after it had crashed.
After a short chase on foot, the authorities were able to apprehend the driver who was found in the vicinity.
According to the CSPD, detectives noticed drugs in clear view inside the deserted vehicle. They subsequently seized 6,553 fentanyl pills, 455.59 grams of methamphetamine, 102.28 grams of heroin, 49.64 grams of powder cocaine, 47.14 grams of prescription pills, and $1,901.
The authorities have not disclosed the identity of the person who was arrested.
