Power outages leave thousands of North Texans in the dark on Sunday night

According to Oncor, more than 10,000 North Texans are currently experiencing power outages on Sunday night, as the temperatures drop into the teens throughout the area. It is important to note that a hard freeze advisory will remain in effect for most of Dallas-Fort Worth until 10 a.m. Monday.

According to Oncor, as of 8:33 p.m. Sunday, more than 10,300 residents in North Texas were experiencing a power outage. Specifically, 2,976 residents were affected in Dallas County, 1,247 in Tarrant County, 1,227 in Collin County, and 667 in Denton County.

To report power outages, Oncor urges customers to use various methods. You can simply text OUT to 66267, download the MyOncor app, visit oncor.com, or call them at 888-313-4747. Additionally, it is crucial to maintain a safe distance from any downed power lines.
