Aiexpress – Authorities have arrested a state prison guard in Alabama on Thursday on charges of receiving a payment from an inmate.
Ebony Breauna Chillous, a 28-year-old resident of Montgomery, has been taken into custody by the Alabama Department of Corrections. She is facing allegations of utilizing her official position for personal gain and attempting to commit a controlled substance crime, as reported by al.com.
According to reports, Chillous allegedly received payment from an inmate on November 30th using the mobile payment app Cash App. The records do not specify the purpose or amount of the payment.
The Alabama Department of Corrections’ spokeswoman, Kelly Betts, confirmed that Chillous voluntarily resigned from her position the day after her arrest.
