Two individuals were apprehended on Monday evening when law enforcement officers uncovered a substantial amount of stolen Legos and drug paraphernalia, valued at thousands of dollars, inside their vehicle.
The police have reason to believe that these two individuals might be connected to a string of thefts that occurred at various Walmarts in the area. These thefts have resulted in a significant loss of merchandise, totaling over $47,000.
Around 8:35 p.m. on Monday night, officers from the Shawnee Police Department were called to a Walmart near 65th Street and Maurer Road regarding a theft. Upon their arrival, the police swiftly located and apprehended the two suspects involved in the incident.
The investigation is still underway.
