Non-profit Embezzlement: Bronx Woman Sentenced for Stealing More Than $700,000

Aquino, who previously held the position of Director of Finance at Hudson Valley Community Services, a division of Cornerstone Family Healthcare, has admitted to committing the crime of Grand Larceny in the Second Degree.

Furthermore, she has been instructed to pay a sum of $704,034.62 as restitution.

Between November 1, 2017, and September 1, 2021, Aquino committed a series of crimes. During this time, she engaged in the unauthorized writing of approximately 170 checks from HVCS bank accounts, diverting the funds for her expenses, such as rent.
